Hey guys! How’s it going? We are back again with another new fun post for you guys. This time with part 2 of our 2 part series featuring the retail brand MR. PORTER. For this post we managed to get our hands on one of their light weight Rag & Bone denim jacket and I must admit, it’s one of my favorites.
Made from premium 14oz. Japanese denim, it’s finished with traditional brass button-fastening cuffs, pockets and side tabs. The light ‘Montauk’ wash and contrast stitching feel really authentic. Straight out of the box it was everything I ever wanted in a denim jacket without even knowing. It’s light wash tone and brass buttons play well with any color clothing. From formal to casual the jacket complements all aesthetics.
Sticking with the same Caribbean Living theme from part one I hooked up with with my photographer Krystian Garner @kteddyg who also worked on part one, to continue creating the vibe.
As you can see, I decided to go with a more preppy casual aesthetic for the jacket, by styling it with a striped shirt, khaki trousers and sneakers. With minimal accessories to keep the focus on the jacket.
You can also dress up the jacket by styling it with a nice fitted trousers, you can either go with a patterned or plain shirt and a nice double strapped monks or suede loafers. For the accessories a navy knitted tie will do great, a nice watch and to add a bit of flair, add a pocket square.
You can tell by the pictures, that the jacket fits in perfectly with the overall theme of “Caribbean Living”. Reminiscent of a cool afternoon getaway to the park or savannah to enjoy a nice cold coconut. It’s light weight feature allows me to stay cool, even in the blazing Caribbean sun.
