MR. PORTER x Men’s Sartorial Fashion: A Sartorial Caribbean.

Hey guys! How’s it going? We are back again with another new fun post for you guys. This time, I was given one of the biggest opportunities of my career as a blogger to date. I was able to team up with one of my favorite luxury retail brands to feature pieces from their latest summer collection. From the title, you already know who I’m referring to. That’s right, British luxury brand MR. PORTER. I honestly couldn’t believe it when they said they would love to team up on a project of my choosing.

Nathaniel Mckenzie

For this collaboration, the team over at MR. PORTER sent me three separate pieces that I had to style and come up with a suitable campaign for. As such, I came up with the idea to do something that hasn’t yet been done by the brand. Living in the Caribbean, I’m constantly surrounded by palm trees, beaches, friendly bars and food. I decided to use this to my advantage and tailor the campaign around it. I broke down the pieces into three parts which allow each item to have its time to shine.

I teamed up with photographers Jerome Birch (@birch_boss) and Krystian Garner (@Kteddyg) to figure out what would be the best way to create this campaign.

The concept of the campaign was surrounded around the Caribbean lifestyle. As such, each item represents different aspects of the island. Part 1 features a navy linen suit trousers by the British brand FavourBrook in a formal work-wear setting.

To get that island feel out of the trousers, I paired it with a linen blazer and a light blue striped shirt. I chose this pairing as it would allow the trousers to be the focal point and stand out.

So what do you guys think of Part 1 of our two-part series? Did we capture the true essence of the Caribbean work life? What about the trousers? Is it something you would add to your arsenal?

Lets me know your thoughts and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button and follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter so you can be updated when Part 2 of the series drop. Trust me when I tell you, you don’t want to miss what I have in store. Let’s just say that sea, sand, sun and sips are in the very near future.

As always guys, I truly appreciate you for following along and taking the time out to read our posts. Look out for future collaborations as we continue along this journey together. Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where you can let me know what you want to see more of this year. Till next time!
